Bosnia and Herzegovina is ready to host the participants of the NATO Field Exercise under the title “BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA 2017”, which will take place from 25.-29. September 2017 in the vicinity of Tuzla.
All the preparations have been completed, in addition to the domestic ones, international teams from 34 countries have arrived at the Base of the University of Tuzla campus. According to the words of the Executive Director of the Exercises Samir Husseinbasic, everything is ready to launch this largest civilian exercise in B&H, which will be open tomorrow the presence of numerous senior representatives by the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Mektic and Assistant Secretary General of NATO Sorin Ducaru.
NATO and partner countries are conducting disaster response mechanisms for the purpose of more effective co-operation in emergencies and strengthening the capacity of civil protection structures in B&H.
The field exercise session is held on Wednesday and Thursday, including rescue from floods, earthquakes, mining incidents, mine incidents, urban search and rescue and protection in the case of chemical, biological, radiological threats.
